Famous singer Claire Lescot (played by operatic soprano Georgette Leblanc) is the “Inhuman Woman” of the title of Marcel L’Herbier’s elaborate fantasy. Lescot lives on the outskirts of Paris, where she draws men to her like moths to a flame.
