Judith Okonkwo is a Nigerian advocate for digital justice through equitable access to new technologies in Africa.

A technology visionary, Okonkwo advices not only GAFAMs, but also startups, nonprofits and small to medium-sized businesses on new technologies. She also teaches at the Lagos Business School and the University of Westminster. Co-founder of We will lead Africa, she created Imisi 3D in 2016, a creative lab in Lagos dedicated to creating an ecosystem for AR/VR/MR. In 2018, Okonkwo organized the AR/VR Africa Consortium, the largest XR event on the continent.

Okonkwo promotes the use of immersive technologies, especially affordable virtual reality, in education. In coming to San Francisco, she wishes to explore ways to further enable Africa’s immersive technology creators to foster a dialogue between the African governments, the Big Tech industry, and international organizations such as the World Bank and the United Nations.
