Photographer Bogdan Pastor and USF Teacher Ion Vlad will discuss identity shifts related to the process of immigration. This conversation is part of Pastor’s public program during his residency at Villa San Francisco.

Pastor’s work throuroughly questions the state of mind he found himself in when immigrating to the US with his family. His guest, Ion Vlad teaches Introduction to Critical Social Theory at the School of Education at USF.

Together they will discuss the theme of lost identity, the concept of social construct seen through the angle of immigration and what role art can play in this timely challenge. 

The 45 minute-discussion will be followed by a 10 minute-Q&A session.
