FACS areas of support

FACS is committed to support French-American cultural projects in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Pacific Northwest, in the fields of Cinema, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences. FACS also places a strong emphasis on supporting French-American educational projects.








FACS Study in France Fellowship

FACS is launching a Study in France Fellowship in 2017, in collaboration with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, a new financial need based grant benefitting graduate and undergraduate students eager to benefit from a study abroad experience.

One fellowship will be awarded for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Applications are open until March 31st, 2017 (6:00pm PST).




FACS Curatorial Travel Grant

The Curatorial Travel Fund was launched by the French American Cultural Society in 2016, in partnership with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy. The program offers curators & programmers from the Bay Area and the Pacific Northwest the opportunity to travel to France to engage with their counterparts and scout for French exhibition ideas to bring back to their home institution.

Two Curatorial Travel Grants will be awarded in 2017.
Travel period: August 1st – December 31st, 2017.
